Papergirl SF is an annual mail-art and delivery systems art project that collects artwork from all over the world and, in the style of American paperboys, distributes the art freely by bicycle to people in the streets of San Francisco. Sound awesome? We think so, too.
PUBLIC's 1 Year Anniversary Event!
Hey folks, sorry it’s been a while since we sat down to blog, but we are happy to announce our first event of the summer; PUBLIC Bikes 1 year anniversary street party event happening this Saturday, July 9th, from 11am to 4pm at PUBLIC headquarters, 123 South Park Avenue!
We were stoked to participate in their store opening last year and had a fun little roll throwing setup, à la paperboy. We’ll be doing the same activity this year, but stepping it up a notch with several mini tournaments and a free raffle ticket for the winners. Public will be raffling off a one-of-a-kind lavender bike and a stay at the H2 Hotel in Healdsburg, two things you won't want to miss out on!
We’ll have a little table set up and be available for you to drop off art or just hang out, say hi, and ask questions. Tournament sign up sheets will also be available, so bring some friends to battle for the raffle tickets, Papergirl style.
Video and images from last years event can be seen on Youtube and the PUBLIC Flickr page. But why only settle for the web when you can come be a part of this years festivities? Hope to see you there! Happy riding and art making everyone!
